I love this. The other day my husband was eating a sandwich standing up while trying to do something on his phone. I reminded him to sit down and enjoy his meal- the task could wait. It’s hard to undo years of productivity programming but this is a nice place to do it.
Love this post! Our child is an "only," and getting him to school was hard enough! I've always said each additional child is exponential, not additive. I can't imagine three! The difference in countries is humanism.
Such a great read! That school in the US sounds so stressful. I get wanting kids to be on time for school but what a horrible system that shames children, wastes more time and stresses out parents. I’m glad you’ve found a better routine in Portugal and I hope your sun comes out soon!

Yes, it will take some time to change the productivity mindset. I definitely eat my meals on the go or while completing another task.

Exponential indeed! Getting any small child out the door is a big job. I’m thankful to be here and experience a more peaceful approach to mornings.
Love your storytelling style, honest, humorous and humbly funny. How nice to live in a country that welcomes instead of scolds!
Thank you so much for the kind words, Maria.
